starting to work for myself

I made the decision around 3 weeks ago, following conversations at work, to go it alone as a tai chi instructor.

Over the last year classes have really expanded and I now have quite a number during the week. With the extra time, I can get others started and offer more to those I already do sessions for. I am also hoping the speaking work will take off as well - www.thewrightinspiration.com is my new website for this.

I think that if you read the blogs from the beginning, you'll know the tribulations I went through at the hands of business partners... well, the premises is empty, and he's now had to resort to hiring school halls just as I did all those years ago! I cannot really say I am bothered, but there is a smug grin on my face knowing he couldn't make it work after stealing it from me; although to be honest, it was ruined and destined to fall possibly the moment it opened even with me there. I just wonder where the equipment and mats went?

Anyway, setting off on my journey of self-employment is a new venture and one I hope is the correct path. I am also running a training programme for people who want to do what I do - instruct.

My classes include sessions for HMP Erlestoke, Parkinsons, Age Concern, Wiltshire Council resource centres, sports centres, day services, sheltered accommodation, charitable organisations, voluntary groups, etc.

That's it for now. Back soon.
